Passing A School Bus Due to Being Next to the Bus When it Illuminated its Flashers
My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: New Jersey

Hello, MY name is Andrea and this morning i was on my way to my internship where i got pulled over for passing a school bus. I was stopped at a red light on a two way traffic street where on the opposite side a school bus arrived and stopped parallel to me. But the thing is that i didn't see the school bus' blinking lights turn on and the "stop arm sign" come out due to the fact that i was sort of behind the bus. With further detail, my trunk was by the first tire of the bus. So that is the reason why i was not able to see the "School bus' stop indications". So when the light turned green i proceeded to drive straight when the lady officer pulled me over and gave me a ticket. I also gave her my PBA card which she didn't honor. What makes this interesting issue is that the officer wrote on the ticket that i did this offense at 9:25 am but i was a work at 8:40am (which i have proof of through a electronic swipe card-time stamp). I was falsely accused and the lady cop was miss-using her authority to "fill her quota". I know this is a 5 point violation but i dont think i should be accused for it.. Am i totally wrong in thinking this?

I would advise losing the "quota" argument. That will only tick off the judge. Take your evidence that you were at work at the time of the alleged violation to court with you (it would be even better if you brought a witness who can testify that you were, indeed, in the office at 9:25). I don't know about NJ, but that would most likely get you off in WA.

What does a Professional Bowlers Association card have to do with getting a ticket?

LOL! I found this on Google (but there's very little information online):

    Quote:

A pba is a card issued by a Patrolman's Benevolent Association.
In plain terms, it means you're friends with a cop and are
entitled to a break now and then.
It looks like they're big in NY, in fact some people even sell them on eBay (http://www.nytimes.com/2006/01/11/nyregion/11cards.html).
