Shoplifting In Florida

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida.
My sixteen year old daughter was arrested for misdemeanor petty theft when she was caught shop lifting in JCPenny. is her record going to be clean when she's eighteen. how will this affect her college plans??? i need help

She can petition to have her juvi record sealed when she turns 18, or she can wait for automatic expunction at the age of 24.

Once you're eligible to petition to have records sealed, in my opinion it's better to be proactive, as further encounters with the legal system can prevent automatic sealing (or sealing by petition) at a later date.

i think if she could get a diversion she should be fine
