"Possible Possessor" Of Marijuana In Florida
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida
Hi I live in an off-campus apartment near a Florida University. I am 20 year old, completely sober individual. I have an apartment with several individuals who didn't smoke pot before I moved in with them, but a couple months into the lease they all began heavily using it (all day long). One is now growing it in his room. I have tried talking them out of everything but of course that doesn't work, and I am worried about being charged with something if the apartment ever gets raided or anything like that. My room contains nothing illegal. They often leave paraphernalia in plain sight within the room (If I see it I grab it and put it in their room). Can I be charged with anything in these situations: If I am home vs. not home? What are the basic penalties for growing? Thank you for your time.
Re: "Possible Possessor" Of Marijuana In Florida
a new law was past due to the state wide crack down on grow houses, i heard its 25 or more plants is a felony
http://www.norml.com/index.cfm?wtm_view=&Group_ID=4530
and just to let u know cops like to do inferred flyovers to spot grow houses, it is illegal in the U.S. without a warrent, but they will spot u and then sniff around for probable cause to search, if ur on college campus dorms then that may be a different story, but the inferred does not light up if its 4 or less plants (from what i heard off the net real or not idk)
and to answer ur question, yes u can very well be charged, unless they all admit its theres and u have nothing to do with it, but if its just one plant i would not worry too much, if there dealing, and theres alot of traffic coming to and from the resident then thats when u draw alot of attention.
hope this answered ur question
BTW dont rat people out, my 2 cents
