    Collections And Immigrations
My question involves collection proceedings in the State of California:

I am from overseas and studied in California, I had to go back home but I could not pay my credit cards debt. So my question is: Will immigrations be notified about this? If my sister wants to go to USA to study will she have any trouble with immigrations? Will they ever relate her with me and cancel her student visa?

Please I am desperate, help me.

    It's highly doubtful.

No. Your failure to pay your bills will not be held against your sister.

Thanks for answering. I feel better now. I want to pay my debt, but salaries here are very low and I won't be able to pay the monthly minimum payments. Is there a way to pay a low amount every month with a fixed low interest rate or no interest at all?

You can contact your creditors and try to work out a payment arrangement.

Given that you are overseas and still trying to do the right thing, I suspect they might be happy to work something out.
