Shoplifting In New Jersey

I have been caught for shoplifting in Abercrombie and Fitch stealing a cologne bottle worth $50.00. I am 17 years old and been called out to court, which is today. I havent got any slept because i been nervous the whole time. This is my first time ever getting caught for shoplifting and i learned my lesson, no doubt. I am wondering what is the worst that can happen to me. Please advice, thank you.

i dont know exactly because it doesnt say anything on the paper if its civil or criminal court but the paper said something about the J.C.C. juvenile confeence comitee if that helps anyhow

wow i'm surprised abercrombie prosecuted you with an amount so low! i know someone who stole over $100 from there and she was not prosecuted. the LP guy wasn't even sure if the company would press charges against me and my amount was close to $900 taken over a period of time, however they did. neither she nor i was given a civil demand. we just had to pay back the amount we each had stolen. and i had to pay court costs and whatever it's going to cost for my diversion program.

i'm only 18 and don't know much about this but just tellng you my story cuz you seem to be the only one on her who also stole from abercrombie. good luck
