Do I Have Recourse?
My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: NYS
I was terminated from my job about a month ago for not revealing my past criminal history on my job application. Now, the application asked if I had ever been convicted of a crime within the last 10 years from the date I was applying. I was hired and worked for the company 4 years. By the way, I was actually hired twice by the company. The convictions were more than the time limit asked about. Do I have a legitimate employment discrimination complaint or can they do this? Was I legally required to reveal those convictions even though there were more than 10 years ago? Thnx.

Re: Do I Have Recourse?
In your other post, this was a friend of yours.
I'll answer your question when you can make up your mind who it happened to.

Re: Do I Have Recourse?
Besides answering the above, what type of job (occupation) were you or your friend terminated from?

Re: Do I Have Recourse?
And what was the nature of the criminal activity?

Re: Do I Have Recourse?
And, according to your other post, you plead guilty to menacing in 2002.
That was less than 10 years ago.
