Do Bench Warrants From Another State Show Up On A Background Check?
My question involves a background check in the State of: Oregon
I was issued a bench warrant in the state of Washington and did not show up to my court date. My probation officer told me that the judge is going to throw me in jail for a probation violation and I just couldn't go through it at the time, because I had to work and pay rent. Later on I applied for a job and they did a background check and I got the job. I got laid off from that job and is currently searching for work again. Did I just get lucky the first time or are there different degrees of background checks that are performed? For example do they only do county searches of where you lived?, or do they only do in-state background checks? I'd appreciate any help on this matter.
