Landlords Home In Foreclosure
My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Texas
I live in TX and today I get a foreclosure letter in the mail. It was not addressed to my landlord. I didn't know what it was, so I opened it. I want to know what my rights are being the tenant if his home really in foreclosure. I've looked at the county clerks records but can't turn up anything. I did find a deed in March of 08, but it doesn't say anything about foreclosure. My landlord called me 4x last month, about once every week asking me if we were going to have rent on time. Is this harrassment? We've never been late and have paid him 2x months rent in advance. Plus, we've paid him at least 1 week early every month. I want to send him a certified letter starting something, I just don't know on what grounds I can, if any at all. We have 3 small children and I don't want a notice to get posted on the door we have 72hours to vacate.
PLEASE HELP!!!
Thanks!!
J
