Trafficking in a School Zone
My question involves criminal law for the state of: South Carolina
My brother was arrested approximately a year ago for trafficking in meth, possession and possession within a school zone. They came to his house with a warrant for his arrest, his room mate and fiance who were also in the house were made to leave, and after they took him to jail, they came back without a search warrant, searched the house and allegedly found a large amount of crystal meth, confiscated his prescribed pain medicine, charged him with possession of that also, and found two guns, one of which belonged to his room mate. Room mate is willing to write a statement claiming ownership of the gun.
He has an attorney who has been working on this and the trial is set to begin in a few months, problem is that I am trying to do some research on this as it seems like his lawyer is not doing all he can to better the outcome of this situation if that is even possible. Any ideas where I can find online some cases like this and the outcome of the cases? Also any ideas, or thoughts, opinions on this from anyone of this site would be greatly welcomed.
Re: Brother Has Lots Of Drug Charges Need More Info
You can research recent case law through sites like LexisOne.com. There are many sites (including that one) that will sell you access to more comprehensive databases of case law. You can also research at your county law library.
