Not On Lease Roommate Refuses To Move Out
My question involves an eviction in the state of: San Francisco, California

I would like my roommate who is not on the lease to move out but she refuses. Is there anything I can do? She is refusing to pay her share of the rent.

    You can legally evict her.

You should invest in a landlord tenant attorney. If not done correctly, it could take months to get your roommate out. However, here is a basic rundown:

Serve her with a 3 day notice to pay or quit

After 3 days, file an unlawful detainer at your local civil courthouse and have the defendant served. File the proof of service

The defendant has 5 days to respond. If no response, file your proof of service, default paperwork and judgment papers.

If there is an answer, you'll need to set it for trial.

Depending on what happens above, you'll need to pay the Sheriff to lock her out.
