My question involves estate planning in the state of: New York
I was deeded a 4 family rental property where the donee reserved a life estate. The donee is not living at this location. All apartments are rented. The recorded deed/life estate agreement simply says that the donee is reserving a life estate but it does not specify if it's for the entire property or one apt. Since it does not specify, am I to assume, that legally is for the entire property(rental income, etc.)?
