16 Year Old Daughter Cited For Minor In Possesion Tobacco
My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Texas
My 16 year old daughter was cited by the Conroe police for minor in possession of tobacco. This is a first offense. She will be going to court soon. The citation lists the offense as a Class 3 Misdemeanor.
I would like to know what will happen when she sees the judge and if there is any way we can have the Misdemeanor removed from her record after she follow the courts sentencing requirements?

It's a juvenile court matter and your kid otherwise has a clean record? There may not even be a disposition.
If you have health insurance and your daughter is having a hard time quitting (or if you have a couple hundred dollars to spend on a good aid for quitting) ask your doctor about Chantix. (Boy.... I sound like a drug company ad.)

Mr. Knowitall - thanks for your reply. My daughter does have a clean record, good student, etc. We have put her in counseling as a result of this incident. What do you mean by "There may not even be a disposition."?
