Does My Wife Need To File Bankruptcy With Me?
My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: NY.
i have a huge amount of debt, sold my house 1 yr ago to fatherinlaw (now im paying the note in his name ) and dumpted the cash into a business that was losing money ,so i sold the business's lease a month ago and liquidated the funds because i had a personal note on the business i coudnt pay and abandoned ship so i would not send my house (in my fatherinlaws name into foreclosure) and a law suit and judjement is imminent aside from all my previous debt..will bankrupcy relieve me of that personal judgement and could i start another company and be protected from that judgement?
Also will my wife be able to not declare BCY if i do and still be seasoned onto title of the house...? thanks in advance ..i know im throwing a lot at u here...P

Yes, you are, and certainly more than a bunch of laypeople are going to be able to help you with.
You need to take all of your information to a bankruptcy attorney to determine if you're even eligible to file. Ditto for your wife.
Complex situations such as yours are best not left to strangers on the internet.

I agree - this is too many questions & too involved for a forum to help you. You need to talk to a bankruptcy attorney.
