Texas Statutory Rape

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas

I've been with my girlfriend since I was 17 and she was 15. We have been sexually active for about 8 months, and in that time she turned 17. I'm now 19 and her mom just called me threatening that I would have to deal with the law. Do I have any reason to be worried?

I'm sorry, but you're wrong.

The OP did not commit statutory rape. Texas has a 3 year romeo clause. This was put in place to protect teenagers, like the OP, from criminal charges.

You might even include an extra 364 days to that time frame. The law isn't very clear.
