MIP Deferral Probation Violation - What's Going To Happen?
I am currently on pbt's to get rid of a mip in michigan. I am 17 years of age and I failed a breath test this weekend with a .01. I have a month left of my six months probation. What usually happens in this scenario? I have not admitted to drinking and am still surprised at the breath test. The man at the counseling center where i take test said I would most likely get a slap on the wrist because its my first offense and ive been good. I want to know what he means by a slap on the wrist.
Thank you,

A reading of 0.01 may be below the margin of error for the machine. Of course, that may not help you if you admitted to drinking after the test.

He said he didn't admit to drinking (which means, of course, that he was drinking).
I see the judge throwing him in the clink for a couple of days to sober him up.

ouch will they extend probation? I'm out of michigan. I had two beers and nyquil, this is also my first offense mip or in any area with law.

Yikes...glad I'm not in "Seniorjudge's" Courtroom! In most jurisdictions this would result in a stern warning, not jail.
