MIP In California

My question involves criminal law for the state of: California

I recently charged with a Minor in poss. of Alcohol code 25662 (a). Misdemeanor. I am currenly 18 y/o. about a year ago i got charged with a MIP but i was sent to juvy court because I was still 17 when I was issued the citation. I completed the courses that where required, and upon completion I was informed that I was not charged with a MIP on my record. I was wondering if even though I was not charged, if that could have an effect on the out come of the next MIP charges? Also, if speeding and parking tickets matter either? I would just like to now all i can to asses my chances of getting any mercy this next time around. I mean I think the whole license suspetion for a year is a little harsh. Like everyone else driving is a essential part of making ends meet.

Unfortunately, you have not learned from the first offense so you can expect that this time around will be a little more harsh if it can be.

How much weight the court can apply from a dismissed juvenile offense is questionable (and I am not going to look it up right now), but even if they cannot charge this as a second offense, it seems to be clear that there is an alcohol problem here and the court may well act on that.

And expect your license to be pulled.
