Imported Seeds Taken

If... I bought marijuana seeds from a Dutch online site and when I got the package it had been cut open, resealed, and the seeds taken. I don't know at what point in transit they were removed. This was 6 to 7 weeks ago. I haven't heard anything about it. I'm was wondering if the gov't confiscated them, do they go after everyone who does this or do too many try this to go after everyone. Also, if they go after you, how long might it take them to let it be known? I asked this on a pay law advise site and the guy said "That's hard to know - it will depend on who has those seeds - customs, local or state cops, or US Postal Inspectors."

Can anyone give me any realistic advise on this?

Generally, when US Customs wants to bust someone, they allow the package to be delivered intact, and they allow it to be in your possession before whatever arresting agency moves in (DEA, local cops, etc).

But I wouldn't do it again. Your name could be added to a watch list for future imports.

The pay site was correct. It depends who has your seeds and your name.

They could be building a case. They could have you under watch. They could be going after everyone sourcing the seeds from your distributor.

You may want to talk to an attorney. It's true. Not everything should be bought over the internet.

That seemed the most likely to me too. I know you can't be sure, but it helps to hear that. Someone got me me really worried about this recently.

If you ordered ANYTHING else, or if the seeds end up being delivered -- refuse acceptance and insist you never ordered it if it is delivered, and for the love of all that is holy, no more ordering seeds or any similar items over the internet.

Like many are fond of saying around here, the Expertlaw Crystal Ball is in the shop for repairs. However, the feds are not going to turn the seeds over to the state or local police. Since when does the FBI or the DEA go around cutting the locals IN? The locals are mushrooms as far as the feds are concerned. The local or state cops do not have your seeds.

Do you know anyone else who has had success ordering from the same online source?

Although mail ordering seeds is not the safest or arguably the smartest thing to do, I know of many people who have never had any issues when they order from a good supplier who uses stealth packaging.

Above all else... NEVER have seeds, grow equipment or anything that is related to growing sent to the same address where the garden is.

I ordered once before and it arrived partially crushed, so they sent replacements. The second order I made arrived almost 7 weeks ago, cut open and resealed. I've read of people getting a letter from customs saying their seeds were confiscated, then nothing else happens. I didn't get any letter. I figure I'm on a watch list now at the very least. Will NEVER do this again.

It just doesn't make sense to think they spent the last month and a half building secret case against me since I'm just a regular Joe with no criminal record. I wonder how much time has to go by before I should truly feel safe?

You're talking in circles. You advize the OP not to accept delivery, THEN you tell him/her to deny ordering it if it is delivered. Is the UPS guy going to demand a reason for non acceptance?

I know I'm super stupid and I will NEVER EVER do anything so stupid again.

Nothing else will show up for delivery. I've ordered nothing else like this. This was all seven weeks ago. I was told normally that they grab you shortly after they deliver the package. I just got an emtpy parcel from Dutch Mail (which I assume must then effectively become US Mail once it reaches here). If it was taken by Customs or US Postal Inspectors (not sure what the real difference is), do they have the resources to go after every single person or do they have to only focuse on larger matters, or can you never tell? Does anyone realistically know? Do they come after everyone like me 2 months after ther fact? Seems odd but not impossible. If they thought I was growing (which I'm not) wouldn't they raid me immediatly?

Refuse acceptance and insist you never ordered it would happen in one motion. As in "I did not order that, therefore I am refusing acceptance of it." Pretty simple.
