    Diversion Or Deference In Virginia
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Virginia

I had an attorney tell me today that the state of Virginia does not offer any sort of diversion program or any sentencing deference. I thought I had read on here that people had qualified for those in this state. Does anyone know?

    They don't.

What part of VA are you?

Currently, the ruling is being appealed in the VA supreme court, but as of now, you cannot get diversion for theft.

You may want your lawyer to continue the case until after the final ruling.

send me a pm with what court your are going to be in. I am familiar with some of the Attorney's in that area and can help you out.

    How did your arraignment go?
