Where To Go To Be Emancipated

UHmm Hi So you have to have yur own place yu cant be living wit another family anf paying rent.? I need to be emancipated or its jus gonna resort to running away and if my mom found me i would probably die.

I gave you the link in regards to Colorado emancipation. Running away is not going to solve your problems. Report the abuse or have someone call for you.

Just so that you know...

I have spoken to literally thousands of children that want to be emancipated. All of whom told us that they were great candidates for one reason or another.

Of all of those children... spread out on at least three of these boards... exactly one has made it....

One. The above Flying Hawk. He is also the only one that I thought could and should do it. And even then, I gave him even money.

He is an extraordinary individual. And he is also the first one to tell you he is struggling to make it.

They are not messed up. Do you know how many cases DSS/CpS sees in a week? It's such an overload that they do the best they can. Abuse is not a reason for Emancipation, because the courts do not want to risk putting kids in a situation that is bound to cause more stress than before. They also don't want to put kids in a situation where they would have to feed off of TaxPayers, so instead of risking it they make the laws what they are.

I live in a very small county myself and yes they do. And how would you know that they don't, you don't work there you don't know what they deal with.

Cps isn't designed to automatically take kids out of their homes, if a report was truly made and they felt need to investigate they will do so. Even if they do investigate removal is not the first step they take. They will take other routes before so because Foster homes & Group homes are packed just as much.

Just because you didn't get your way, it doesn't mean the whole system is faulty.
