Hi i live in FL and recently my car was searched and found some weed about a little less than a half track. they gave me a written arrest and i have to appear in court on may 8, 2008. They charged me with possesion and paraphernalia. I'm 18 and it is my first offense. What is going to happen?

I mean besides for paying fines is there anything else that can happen? I've heard of people getting their charges dropped completely from being 1st offenders. Can i go to jail? What happens in the court room?
It is my first offense of possesion and paraphernalia in FL. i am getting a lawyer to help me out. the statue numbers are 893.13(66) for possession under 20 and 893.147(1) for paraphernalia. i had about a gram on me. What can be pressed against me? Could i go on probabtion or will i just pay a fine and do community service? or could i do a fine and a class? please help. thank you very much
