Working Without Transfer Receipt
Hi,
I'm in this awkward situation now. I have been working for Company A for about 6 months. I got an offer from another company (not a consulting company). I have provided all the required documents for H1 transfer to their attorney.
The attorney claims that I can start working for NEW company as they have submitted the documents for H1 transfer.
When asked about the receipt the attorney claims that I can start working right away to new company as the immigration law states that:
Submitting documents is enough and one does not require to wait for receipt.
Can anyone verify if the above statement is true?
Thanks in advance.
Re: Working Without Transfer Receipt
It's my understanding that you MUST have the receipt before you can start working for the new company.

I read it online that you can join the new employer if the start date is moved forward and if a UPS/Fedex delivery confirmation is received?
Is it true?
Thanks for all your help
