Re: My Parents Left Me In Colorado
all the counselours i have ever talked to have agreed with me
that i can in fact do this
and i want your true opinion
but i think its a little rash
that you tell me there
is no way i can do this
when you dont know the story
and what i've been through
i have talked to CPS
and the police
and it just wasnt soon eoungh
my parents have litterally left me in another state
is that not illegal?
Re: My Parents Left Me In Colorado
Then you dont need us just go ahead and try. but with no statute, no job etc etc its very unlikely. By the way the numbers I have seen say less than 1% of petitions are successful and CO does even have a statute

i have a job in WASHINGTON
and i have a school in WASHINGTON
im looking at emancipation in washington
NOT colorado
because i have NO intent on staying here after 6 weeks
when the school is out here
Short answer, yes.
You have, legally, NOTHING in Washington. Nothing at all.
Promises and gonna haves and should be's don't go far in a court of law.
You don't have a choice in the matter until you are 18. Period.

Of course it isn't illegal.
Now, I didn't wade through your War and Peace size original post, but I read enough that you are grumpy cause you have to do chores and aren't living where you want to live.
Deal with it. If you have talked to the proper authorities and they haven't done anything, call them again.
Or, you can just believe that you will deal with it.
Re: My Parents Left Me In Colorado
One more thing,
a child that has attempted suicide will never become emancipated. Ever.
You need more supervision, not less.
Re: My Parents Left Me In Colorado
You may have a job in washington but you need to be employed there long enough for it to be even considered. And that doesn't include previous employment at that place. You will also need to show you have enough money saved up for moving, and living.
So without that, and what everyone else has stated it isn't going to happen. The reason your counselors are saying it can be done shouldn't be taken to heart because they do not know what it takes for it to be done. They may THINK it can be done, but by the law, it cannot be.
