My question involves paternity law for the State of: Michigan. I am 30 years old and I just found out that the Bishop of the church i've attended all my life is my biological father. This made me upset because My mother has been an epileptic since after i was born and she had a breakdown when she discovered that the bishop would'nt take care or acknowledge me. To date she never recovered and has been mentally ill since this time. before I try to get the state to force a paternity test. I wanna know is it too late with me being 30 years old and are there any back support or damages i could sue for?
