Emancipation

I'm trying to get emancipated but I'm not sure what I need to do!
So far I've got this going for me.
I'm in honors classes in a college studies program
I do community service and I'm in a couple of after school clubs
Unfortunately I still live at home and my parent won't allow me to get a job, something about a woman's place is the home crap. My parent treats me like a dog and I'm really fed up. I've tried DCFS but they didn't really do much but aggravate the situation more. I have noone else because my parent decided to turn all of my family members against me. I've already been offered to stay at a friends house until I can manage on my own, but I don't want to do anything illegaly because I'm sure my parent would make me go to jail or ship me to Mexico where children are treated far worse than here. Please help!

First off not all states even have a statute for emancipation and you failed ot name yours. However that wont matter because without a job it isnt going to happen.

I'm 16 (going to be 17 in a couple of days) and I reside in IL. So now I'm guessing I'm stuck with my parent. Would a previous complaint with DCFS help my case at all? The reason I want to leave home is because I'm tired of being constantly humiliated and insulted by my parent. Yes, I understand that some of you will call me a wimp and tell me to suck it up, but I honestly can't take it anymore. :(

:( Well I see now. So unless I involve DCFS into this situation I'm stuck here... Oh well I guess I only have one more year to go. I printed out the emancipation petition documents already though. Hopefully my parent comes through...
