    Help With Emancipation In Florida
Hi I'm looking for info on either emancipation or appointment of guardianship. 2 minor children are about to lose their father, both under the age of 16. The father doesn't want the ex wife to have custody, she is kind of out of the picture already, and would like his step son, who is 18, take guardianship. the mother is contesting, wanting to step into the picture. She has a negative history with the children, including the son which is her natural son. Can anything be done?? thank you for all information

    Read this.

Emancipation is not available in Florida below the age of 16, and is not meant to provide an end-run of child custody litigation.
