Disabled Man Fell In A Hotel Room
I am a disabled individual that stayed in a motel room over night when taking a shower in the morning i used a provided by the hotel shower bench that was attached to the wall wel the bench pulled out of the wall broke a bunch of tiles and i landed on the floor and banged my head on the floor and recieved a few small cuts from the tile and had to have my friend that rented the room pick me up off the floor - my question is does this warrant a law suit ? is there any preperations i should make ? i feel no lasting effects from the fall other then a headache and some strained muscles please advise thanks :wallbang:

Have you told the hotel of your accident? If so, have they offered to pay your medical bill(s)? Don't sign any waivers of liability even if they do offer until you know you are fully recovered. You may want to contact a lawyer if your injuries are more than minor.

I assume you told the hotel of the broken shower bench & that you fell. What did they say? Did you go to a doctor for any injuries & to be checked out?

Given that you have no lasting injuries other than superficial cuts and didn't seek medical help would tend to suggest you didn't suffer any significant medical, financial, or pain and suffering damages. While I'm sure there was some pain and discomfort with all this and indeed some inconvenience, your damages probably don't amount to enough to warrant a realistic lawsuit against the hotel, if that's what your asking. That said, there are some lawyers out there that will take fairly minor cases and try to squeeze the hotel's insurer for whatever they can get by threatening a suit. Personally, I'd be thankful I wasn't seriously injured, and just move on, but that's your choice.

I agree. I don't see a lawsuit based on your last post.

I hope they gave you the room for free, at least.
