Recent Credit Card Activity And Chapter 7 Bankruptcy
I am thinking of filing for chapter 7 in california. I had talked to Legalhelpers and they said I would qualify for chapter 7. My question is that I had some recent activity charged on my credit card( that has a balance of $12,000)for an online business service in february 2008 for roughly $580.00 and I called them to refund this back to my credit card which they are doing. Is this considered fraud under Chapter 7 and would they deny the discharge of $12,000 or the recent activity of $580.00?

    Any help would be appreciated

Only the amount that was charged recently could be considered non-dischargable and that's only if the creditor objects to it's dischargability, but considering the amount and the circumstances I doubt there will be an issue, just don't charge anything more on your cards.
