    Federal Probation Violation
My husband was recently arrested on a federal probation violation warrant. He has no new charges however, he has not reported in 3 years. What are the possibilities here. He is saying that, at the most he will have to serve 9 months. Does this sound right?

We have no way of knowing. He can discuss with his criminal defense lawyer such factors as his original charge, how much time he potentially has left to serve, and the recommendation of his parole officer.

I agree with aaron without more specifics there is no way to really tell how much time he is looking at, not reporting for 3 years regardless of a new offense is a serious violation of probation.
