i am 17 years old and live in florida.i have been in and out of foster care most of my life and now i want to get emancipated.i am currently trying to be enrolled in high school and i have a job.but i have a few questions:
1) what are the requirements
2)will probation stop me from bein emancipated
3)how do i go about doin this
4)how long does it take to do this
Your parents or legal guardians must file the petition. Will they? Answer that then we can go on
well right now i am back in foster care.who would i get to sign? i have a guardian ad litem can he sign?my grandparents had legal guardianship of me befor i was placed back in foster care,but they want nothing to do with me so they would never sign but i can get my real parents to sign but they are outta state
In FL its the parents or "legal" guardian(s) that must file the petition. That is hurdle number one there are several. Just so you know the average percent of successful emancipations is less than 1% from what I understand
well i go to court in a few weeks for a pending charge nd they are going to put me on a year of probation is that going to effect the emancipation
