Will I Be Deported For Shoplifting
I am a 16 year old french citizen. It is my firts time shoplifting ever. what kills me was taht i just did for the fun of it to see what it feels like to do something illegal. at anycase i shoplifted in a sunglassHUT illinois they realize i stole the burberry sunglasses of 220 $ but i got away with it,but i feel terrible i dont want a bad record so i can go to a good college...
My question is
1) SHOuld i return to the store and give it back to them?
2)Is the police goign to come to my school on monday because i think that if they replay the cameras they will see me?:wallbang:
3) am i goign to get deported?
Re: I Terribly Regret What I Have Done
did u get caught. return them but do they know, dont understand your post are you having remorse and guilt?
Re: I Terribly Regret What I Have Done
no i didn't get caught, i went with a friend and i took the glasses. i left before my friend because i was frustrated. then the person in charge of the store said to my friend :did your friend take the glasses because its missing. My friend then said that he was sure i didn't take them. then the person responsible of the store said yes i am pretty sure he did.I think that they might look and check in the camera and there is a big probability they see me
what do you think i should do, should i return it myself today? or keep it and never come near that store?
please help me
Re: I Terribly Regret What I Have Done
If and thats a if they have you on video do they have any inofrmation on you that could allow them to find you? If not then its unlikely (but not impossible) for them to find and charge you. What you might do is mail the glasses back to the store with no return address
Re: I Terribly Regret What I Have Done
They have no information on me what soever it is the very first time i walked into that store. I dont even think they have a camera :wallbang:.
I am worried that on monday they will come in get while in school

Cant say they will or will not theft has its consequences. I would not return to the store though
Re: I Terribly Regret What I Have Done
sorry my english is low what do you mean by that
Re: I Terribly Regret What I Have Done
return by mail. without the return address. Anonomously, (no name involved.)
Re: I Terribly Regret What I Have Done
ok thank you you guys relaxed i couldnt sleep since yesterday
Re: I Terribly Regret What I Have Done
I think you should do the right thing. Go to the store apologize for taking the glasses and return them to the store. I think they would be quite impressed and thank you for eventually coming to your senses.
To the other posters: Why not encourage this lady to do the right thing. That is the problem with this country. No one wants to take responsibility for their actions. Finally someone is asking for advice on what to do and you give her nonsense advice.
Sorry, Just my opinion
Re: I Terribly Regret What I Have Done
Because if he returns to the store he will probably get arrested right then and there. That's why everyone is saying to mail them back. That's still the right thing to do and it's better advice than suggesting him to go back so he could get arrested.

People make stupid mistakes, I don't believe whoever started this thread is a bad person, but if they are willing to return what they stole with no pressure from anything, they shouldn't have to voluntarily screw up the rest of their life.
