The laws and SOL that would apply are the ones that existed in 1968(which have changed) at the time of the incident(s).

Without answering any of your questions as they for the most part revolve around the 1968 statutes, I would ask though why this wasn't pursued at the time it would have been resonably discovered to have happened, and how someone would prove such an allegation 40 years after the fact.

    Thank you for your reply.

There is a document that is an admission of guilt.

What were the relevant 1968 statutes and how do they apply?

I have no idea what related FL criminal statutes/SOL's were at the time. And the nature of the document, it's ability to be verified, it's disclosure, etc. would all be very important. Nothing is judged in a vacuum. Details, details, details.

SOL's and tolling the time from commission of the crime, discovery, etc, can be extrememly confusing.

You could simply hand it all over to the appropriate law enforcement jurisdiction and see if they pursue the criminal action.

A civil action would be pretty complex and an attorney would almost certainly be needed.
