Used Employers Credit Card
had a question...i stupidly used my employers homecenter credit card to buy some things with the intent of paying it back. i subsequently quit the job and forgot to pay it back...i now have to go to the state police to answer questions...if i return the items or pay back the amount before i go down will i "be in the clear"????:ny
Re: Used Employers Credit Card
You won't necessarily be in the clear as the act is done. But either way you're going to have to wind up paying the bill or returning the merchandise if that is an option. So doing it couldn't hurt, and it might very well help.
Re: Used Employers Credit Card
one other question...the total of the purchases was about 700 dollars is this grand theft...aka felony or would it be a misdemeanor....ty
Re: Used Employers Credit Card
In some states unauthorized/illegal use of a credit device is a felony regardless of the amount charged. It would behoove you to still have the illgotten items in saleable condition and cooperate fully with investigators.
And you may want to secure the services of a criminal defense attorney also!
