    Minor caught shoplifting in California
i made a huge mistake. i was caught shoplifting at target last week. (it was my first time) they asked for my name, address, home phone# and my guardian's name only. i was released later. i got a letter this week regard to the "fine". it was around $300. it spelled my name wrong. and i'm just wondering if i really have to pay it. it doesn't say the consequences or the due day...or will i get arrested if i don't? i'm still a minor...

    PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!!

    California Civil Demand
If you don't pay the civil demand, they may sue you and your guardian to recover that money.

but from the posts i've read..they won't nessecary bring it to the court right? and can they do it even without knowing my correct name and without knowing my social sec. or ID #?

coz i'm having trouble to get the money for the payment...://

and i wonder if anyone ever get out of the case w/o paying..
