L2 Visa And EAD Confusion

My wife is currently working on a L1B "individual" visa.Her visa expires May 2008 and so does my L2 visa and EAD.

Now, her company is not applying for her L1B "individual" extension but rather asking her to travel to India in the 1st week of April and come on a new L1 B "Blanket" visa !

So the confusion is :-

1.Do I have to leave US at the same time with her ?
2.Can she get her L1 B Blanket stamped in April and come on the new visa while I continue to work on existing L2 visa till May 2008 on my EAD ?
3.Also, can I go to Canada or Mexico before May 2008 for my L2 stamping on the new L1 Blanket visa ?

I would really appreciate if I could get some advice on it.

I am just as confused as you are. I've looked around several sites discussing L1/L2 visas, and they've not been much help.

Generally, when the L1 spouse leaves, the L2 spouse must also do so.

You should direct your questions to your nearest USCIS office.
