Indiana Emancipation
Alright so, I am a 20 year old from Mass, and I have a friend who lives in Indiana. She is 16 years old, and wants to be emancipated and move to Mass. I have been reading over the Indiana requirements, and I wanted to know if it was possible for said minor to be dependent on another person for income while in the proses of establishing herself in a new state. If anyone could help answer that it would be awesome!

Re: Help!
Emancipation is all about SELF support. Ergo, she needs a job and a place to live where she's paying her own expenses (rent, utilities, transportation) and keeping up with her schooling in Indiana before a court will even consider emancipating her. If she's dependent on someone else to do this, she's not eligible for emancipation.

Re: Help!
If you want to be arrested on Federal charges of violating the Mann Act, you just keep right on encouraging her to move to MA to be with you.
The answer to your question is NO. It is NOT possible.
