How To Evict My Boyfriend
In the sate of Washington how do I legally get a verbally and mentally abusive boyfriend out of my house that he moved into, if he is not on the lease and the cops wont' remove him, I understand that I can just change the locks but if he finds a way in then again they can not or rather will not remove him. they say that he has esstablished residency by moving in, so they can't remove him... but if he is locked out they can't force me to let him in because he is not on the lease. Please help I need to know how I can get him to leave.:wallbang:
Re: How To Evict In Washington
How about filing a restraining order? And if he's not on the lease and the cops won't help you, maybe your landlord has a legal right to have him evicted.
If he's abusive, you need to protect yourself, so I'd recommend the RO first. Hope this helps & good luck!
Re: How To Evict In Washington
get the PO or RO depending on what they call it. If the police have been there for DV ( domestic violence) then they should have arrested him or made him leave.
Other then that you will have to follow through with an eviction. You should be able to get the forms to file for the eviction at the courthouse.
If it is his legal residency, being that he receives mail, it is the address on his license. If you change the locks you could get yourself in trouble. Even though he is not on the lease.
