Register An Out Of State Divorce
My wife recently moved to Florida with my children. She did so without notifying me and, in fact, against what she stated in court, and to me. We were divorced in Massachusetts and my wife lived in Rhode Island. I need to register the Massachusetts divorce in Rhode Island, and possibly Florida, to continue any legal remedies I might have. Is registering a divorce difficult for a non-attorney? Is this something I can even do without the help of an attorney? I cannot afford an attorney, but I must try to retain my rights as a parent. Can anyone give me some insight into what steps I need to take to preserve my ability to maintain my good relationship with my children?
Thank you.

First, do your research on what it takes to register foreign judgments in each of those states.
Post back with what you found.

For Florida laws go to www.flsenate.gov/STATUTES. You'll find the statutes in either chapters 61, 88 or 409.
