How many other instances of this did you find? What was the name of your judge? And how did you know the date of the filing BEFORE you posted your original missive?
In other words, I am throwing the BS flag on you. You are either lying your butt off or can't even keep simple facts like dates straight.
Maybe you were high
I don't quite follow your logic here - Elaw went to the court hearing on the 26th and later that day posted it. Where's the lie?
To Elaw: I would not post the name of the judge.
But I do think we're discussing 6 different things - expungments/reduction of records/arrest/conviction. There is a lot of missing information which may get answered when Elaw is no longer high (okay, sorry, just playing).

Okay, maybe that was harsh.
I apologize.
However, we are still talking about a friend finding the golden ticket in his Wonka bar and telling everyone else that their chocolate will have gold in it too.
Most judges do not look for a way to let felons wipe clean their records early. Kinda goes against that whole "felony" thing.

I hear ya and agree - not only do most judges not look for a way to let felons wipe their records clean with DAs not objecting, but in this state (Pa), they don't even have the authority to do so. I'm guessing but I think that Elaw is going to say, Oh...wait, it wasn't a conviction or will say it was when he was a juvenile.

I'll make this my last post on this subject. As for my sentence structure, it is what it is, run on sentences and all. This is an internet forum, not a college thesis paper, so I spend little time proofreading my posts. As to cyjeff, whatever man, I haven't smoke marijuana since my bust eleven years ago. Nice cheap shot though. Completely original. I see no reason for your inability to comprehend what I've stated. Obviously you are a person of rare character and I commend you for it, but also see that you live in a completely different reality than a substantially large part of society, and I pity you for that. Anyways, I'm done wasting my time with you. I've dealt with your kind before and I know that no matter what we won't see eye to eye. No loss though, because that would involve me compromising my moral values, which I also am unwilling to do.
@ Almosthome, thanks for the benefit of the doubt. There were convictions in both cases. I currently have a class D felony conviction. I did my time eleven years ago, completed a year's probation and an intensive out patient treatment program. My friend's situation was similar with the exception of his conviction occurring four years ago. I was 21 years old at the time and my friend would have been about 29 or so. If this involved only me I would have zero qualms about posting the details. Since it involves another party, I respect his privacy and will not compromise it just to prove that I am telling the truth. Thanks for the advice. I would happily cite a case or statute for you but I have not been able to find any. Like I said before I have been running into dead ends for years on the subject. I had even spoken to an attorney, who pretty much told me he was going to do exactly what the judge said. The judge is the one that said we could do it ourselves, that it was pretty much straightforward and it was at our discretion to hire an attorney to do it for us.That's all I'm willing to divulge. If this is indeed a rare act, which is not totally inconceivable to me seeing the lack of and difficulty obtaining information, I would still urge anyone to try it. The worse that can happen is a denial of motion.
