Grandparent Wants Sole Custody

Hey here is my situation. I lived in Colorado for 2 years and my mother would help out with my sons daycare. Her husband and i never got along. Well i decided to move back to Texas. The day i was moving back we got into a big fight and i ended up being charged with 2 misdemeanors in colorado. i did not appear for the court case and now my mom wants FULL and SOLE custody of my son. Is that possible if its only considered a misdemeanor and its not even extradiatable. Can they get SOLE custody in texas for a misdemeanor that happened in colorado because their the grandparent
