HOA Restrictions For Resident Tennis Pro
My husband is a tennis instructor. We live in Texas. Our HOA has contracted with another resident instructor to implement tennis court activities and clinics. HOA is saying my husband is not allowed to teach individual lessons unless he is under the contractor's umbrella. The contractor wants 20% of all profits, which will go to him and not the HOA. Liability insurance was required before we could approach the board and now they want him to sign a contract saying he will not teach unless approved by the resident instructor. Is this legal?

Why must we be limited to private lessons given by one instructor on courts we pay for each month? Is there a way to get around the rules?

You need to read the HOA bylaws.
