Renting My Own Place After Emancipation

i am trying to get emancipated from my mother who is abusive and ruining my life. i am 16 and plan on moving back to new york if i am granted emancipation. i want to know how can i get my own apartment in new york once i am emancipated? will a landlord choose not to sell to me because i am a minor who is emancipated? how can i help myself so that i can get an apartment? please help, any info would be great!

I don't think that anybody can promise that a particular landlord will rent a particular apartment to an emancipated minor, or for that matter to any minor.
