Re: I Live In Arkansas And My Dad Is Verbaly Abusive Is That Worth Getting Emancipate
To be emancipated means you are working full-time and supporting yourself 100%.
Are you doing that?
Re: I Live In Arkansas And My Dad Is Verbaly Abusive Is That Worth Getting Emancipate
I can only work part time I'm in school but my boyfriends mom said I could stay here with her and just help her with the bills because I do have a part-time job

Then you cannot be emancipated.
Re: I Live In Arkansas And My Dad Is Verbaly Abusive Is That Worth Getting Emancipate
because I can only work part time I have a place to live she said she would help support me and I can't take being treated like this everyday and when I try to go down the road to get a break from it he says I'm running away
Re: I Live In Arkansas And My Dad Is Verbaly Abusive Is That Worth Getting Emancipate
Rachel emancipation is about "self" support. having someone help support you does not meet that criteria. If your home is abusive contact CPS
Re: Emancipation In Arkansas
Is there a way that I can at least get a break from him by staying here for a while its close by and he knows where I am I just don't have to wake up to my sister yelling at me and my dad yelling at me for a couple of days? If emancipated can you work more hours?

Re: Emancipation In Arkansas
I know that but is there a way I can just get like I week away not emancipated just like a vacation from him kind of thing. Just so I don't have to wake up and cry in the moring then have to go to school with puffy eyes.
Re: Emancipation In Arkansas
Talk to a CPS caseworker about that. Here in CA few years back there was a program called "Time out for parents" that did exactly that
