    Early termination of a lease
My husband and I planned on moving to Arizona this month and rented a home via the internet. We found a home and signed a lease for a year, we have been having problems with the landlords since they received our deposit. When my husband went to see the home after the lease was signed it was terrible. The house was dirty, still occupied and not ready to move in. The landlords have been trying to string us along for weeks now. Also my husbands employment did not work out in Arizona and now we are not moving he does not have a job to go too. We have asked for our deposit back but the landlord has been very mean and told us to "kiss off" but not in those words if you get my meaning. We still have not moved in, can we get out of this lease and get our deposit back? Is small claims the answer or am I fighting a loosing battle? Help!

    Thanks
What does it say in your lease about early termination?

If you feel you are owed money, you'd have to sue in Arizona I'm sure.

I have to go over my Lease, it is not very specific regarding early termination . The landlord does not live in Arizona they are located in Northern California and we live in Southern California. Would we still have to file suit in Arizona being that is where the rental is located? This was a huge mistake on my part, I have a feeling I'm going to loose my 1,100 dollar deposit! Thanks for advice anyone can give, it's really appreciated.
To give some advice to renters looking on the internet PLEASE do not go by pictures alone, they can be very deceiving , I learned my lesson. Always look at the home before signing a lease, spend the extra time and money it is worth it!!!
