Grand Larceny In The Fourth Degree
My father had me arrested stating that I stole from an account we were both on as joint owners. I also have power of attorney over him. He lied completely in his report to the police and I proved to them this. Yet, they still arrested me for Grand Larceny in the 4th degree, after telling me that if i showed proof that i used this account other than what he stated. ( I was only put on account to pay his bills) which i showed 6 months of statements showing i used it regularly, not paying any of his bills cuz he did that himself (which i showed). Being he (my father) did this intentionally to get revenge on me, is there any hope for me??
Re: Grand Larceny In The Fourth Degree
So the police asked you to demonstrate that you only used your father's account to pay his bills.
You responded by proving that your father paid his own bills, and you demonstrated that you only used your father's money for your own personal gain.
And you're surprised that you were charged with larceny?
What am I misunderstanding?
