I Need To Get Away Form My Parents

I live in New York State. I'm 16 & I'm trying so hard to get away from my parents. I was taken away from my father in june 2006 and placed with my mother. She kicked me out and made me live with my father. My father has turned violent again and has continued to do teh things I was taken away from him for. My mom will not let me go back to live her. My boyfriends mom has given me the option to live at her house. But this made my dad mad. so he put me on an "Intergrated Services Petition" so now I have a case worker, but she's not helping me.:wallbang: I dont want to go into foster care and the Independent Living program because I will be stuck tehre until I'm 18 and I'm going to graduate before that. I live in New York State, and theres no emancipation stature for the state. however the state does recognize the status of an emancipated minor. I havea small "under the table" job but I only work once or twice a week and I dont make that much. only about 30 or 40 bucks a night. If I get another part time job I'm hoping then I can prove my financial independence. If anyone knows any information that can help me, please let me know. I'm desperate to get out of this house.

Emancipation is about "self" support

so does that mean if I can support myself through two part time time jobs I can leave?

No it means you need to be self supporting just to get the court to listen to you. You also need to show plan for continued education.

but I was told I couldn't take this to court because there is no emancipation statute in new york.

Then that's your answer. If there is no emancipation statute, then you cannot be emancipated, regardless of how many jobs you may have.

some states (not sure if NY is one) with no statute will still listen to a claim (petition) for emancipation. However the very unlikley outcome of success (less than 1% from what I have heard) gets even less without a statute to fall back on
