    Speeding Ticket In Washington
I just got my first ticket 10:40 AM January 23rd 2008 I was driving down martin way east and got stuck behind a slow moving car so I speed up to 50mph(speed limit 40mph) to pass the car in the left lane to go around it and then returned in the right lane to continue to my destination which came up fast so I was slowing down in the mean time to take the turn into the parking lot of my destination. The cop had his cruiser parked in the direction I was turning into and that is when the cruiser did a U turn from where he was parked around right behind me and flashed his lights. Then asked me why I got pulled over and I told him exactly what I did and then he asked me rudely “do you have a break in that car?” and I was scared so I thought he said are you on break? I told him that I was on my way to get something to eat before I headed off to new market then he said “NO…Do you have a break in the car?” then I said “yeah” calmly. Then the officer said “well you should learn how to use it” in a rude tone of voice. So I sat in the car shocked that he even said a rude comment to me after I was being very calm and nice to him about everything.

yeah basicly that is what happend i just copyed and pasted it sorry about it being so long. so i dont know what i should do i know im going to fight it but i just need a little more advice on how to aproche the judge to get him to dissmiss the ticket. if not i will just get it deffered but i realy dont want to pay the 145.00 for it. the ticket was only for 113.00 because he gave me 5 over but i dont care its still a ticket. so some help would be appriciated.:)

You will have an opportunity to discuss the ticket in court. It's a crap shoot as to whether or not you will get the fines reduced. You still have a ticket and its unlikely that it will disappear.
If you have a problem with the ticketing officer, you can file a complaint with his supervisor.

Humility doesn't seem to be every officer's strong point.

i might decide to do that but it was realy uncalled for that he did that.but im going to try and stress the point that i was not out right speeding i was passing a slow car and that i also took a motorcycle safty course to get my license to and that im a responsible driver to get that and blah blah blah.

you have any tips that you would like to include because im up to listin to anything.
