How To Tell If Officer Used Pacing Or Radar, in California
I'm preparing to contest my ticket via "Trial by Declaration." The citing officer wrote down a number under "Speed Approx." on my ticket, but nothing under "Radar". Is it safe to assume that I was clocked using pacing? Or lasar? How would I find these details out?

The only way you can find out is to do a discovery request. However, that can take up to 30 days (if they provide you anything at all). Here is a site that offers a template for doing a discovery request and proof of service.
