Fiancee Deported For Drug Charge
My fiancee was deported in 1996 for Sell Schedule II class H felony in North Carolina. He thinks when he was deported he was told that he had a 10 year bar. We have a 15 year old daughter that he has not seen since she was 4. I want to marry him and am planning a trip to his country (Haiti) this summer. Will it be possible for him to come back to the US?
Re: Fiancee Deported For Drug Charge
He can try to apply for an Executive Pardon first, before applying for re-entry.
It's my understanding that Immigration doesn't give a lot of weight to Pardons of Forgiveness, but he can try.
It's in your best interests to speak with an Immigration attorney.
