    Evicting a Business Subtenant
How do I evict a subleasee from the space I rented to them in my store? He has paid rent but has created quite a few liability issues to my business and I have to put a stop to it.

Depends on the terms of the lease.

Our contract was pretty ticky tack. We basically wrote the terms down on a scratch paper.

He was suppose to operate a certain type of business - as put down in the lease. Now he has changed his business to something that interferes with mine.

Is this a month-to-month tenancy, or did you agree to a term of years?

Then you have learned a cheap lesson.

Assuming it was month to month you can simply notify him to leave with 30 days written notice.

It was a term of three years. It also specifically stated what the space would be used for.
