Re: Terroristic Threatening
It takes quite a bit to get call trace info these days - calls don't usually go from point a to point b - there are lots of little mom and pop companies and voip sources that transport a call, even within one town. It can take considerable effort to find out which company is the owner of the npa-nxx in question (area code and prefix), and then see if the 1000 digit range has been leased or sold to a smaller company - and THEN subpoena that company to produce a record of the call - which may have been handed from one company to another as it made its way across town. It's not a quick and easy thing to track like you see on TV.
If there are felony charges involved, then the "stupid teenage things" that were said were enough to meet the requirements of the higher level of threats. Tell your friend to get an attorney asap.

I know that you are new here but this should have been started as a new thread.
I am really sorry to hear that someone is treating you and your husband like that.
Since he is telling you that you and your husband "do not deserve to live" I would suggest that you contact your local police and file a complaint.
DO NOT take matters into your own hands as you stated above. It is very important to keep your cool and let the police handle this.
I hope this all works out for you and your husband. Keep us advised and good luck.
